People type MOTS-c a few ways. MOTS-c, mots-c, sometimes MOTC. Same peptide. The full name is a mouthful: mitochondrial open reading frame of the 12S rRNA type-c. Nobody says that in a chat.
Some doctors and longevity clinics outside the United States do use MOTS-c in their practices. You will see that if you look around. A clinic using it is not the same thing as a country approving it as a medicine. The studies you can actually read are still mostly in mice. We don't hand out a human dose.
What the mouse papers are about
The work people cite is mostly in mice. A 2015 paper in Cell Metabolism, Lee and colleagues, reported that MOTS-c showed up in mouse studies of metabolism and insulin sensitivity. Later mouse work, including Reynolds and colleagues in Nature Communications in 2021, looked at MOTS-c and physical performance in mice. Those are mouse experiments. A mouse paper is not a schedule for a person.

Clinics are not an approval
MOTS-c is not approved by the U.S. FDA as a medicine.
Some longevity and anti-aging clinics outside the United States offer MOTS-c. You can find clinics talking about it. A clinic menu is not the same thing as a government approving the peptide as a medicine. We do not have a public license from a medicines regulator in Dubai, Thailand, or Europe that says MOTS-c is an approved drug there. If a country licenses it, that license would be a public record from that regulator.
